Superbowl Snack Series 2023: Low-FODMAP Cheese Sticks

Who doesn’t love a great cheese stick, right? Especially at a Superbowl party!

And just because you are on the low-FODMAP diet doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy one, too, with today’s easy and quick recipe from IBSTakesGuts.

This recipe will make enough for two-three people, so plan accordingly for your needs. Also keep in mind that some ingredients (cheese and butter) have daily FODMAP limits.

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • One Schar pizza crust (If you are local to our area, we get these at the Walmart Neighborhood Market in town.)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Sprinkle of parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic oil
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • Live Free Ranch Dressing, for dipping

Directions:

  • Before cooking anything, preheat your pizza oven/oven according to directions.
  • Combine the melted butter, garlic oil, and parsley in your small mixing bowl.
  • Spread the butter mixture evenly across the entire Schar pizza crust. (I like to set aside a small amount to sprinkle over the cheese, but this isn’t necessary – up to your individual preferences!)
  • Sprinkle the cheese evenly across the pizza crust.
  • Bake in the pizza oven/oven according to directions! (We usually get breadstick perfection in about 6-7 minutes in our outdoor pizza oven, but we’ve made these several times according to the directions on the box in our conventional oven with great results, too.)

You’re now ready to cut into slices and serve with a side of Live Free Ranch Dressing for dipping! Enjoy, and check back in next week for another easy-to-make Superbowl snack!
